SURREY CITY CENTRE

LARGEST CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN WESTERN CANADA
The development has four major components: a tower and podium, a galleria, an attrium and a 1400 car parkade. The attrium, roofed over by a space frame, provides the principle entrance to the university. A new galleria structure integrates the existing shopping centre into a vibrant public street leading to the tower.

The 26-story curved office tower envelope consists of some 2600 preglazed unitized panels installed by Inland Glass & Aluminum Ltd. A total of 10,000 workers and students in the complex will regularly inhabit the shopping centre, thus reinvigorating the commercial activity while reducing the redundancies of providing separate bookstores, cafeterias, recreational facilities, etc.

The project was constructed by Canada's largest contractor and completed on time and on budget. It is the the largest construction project in Western Canada and the second largest in the nation. largest in the nation.
